Can I put on the Moova carrier by myself?
Yes, it is very easy and safe to fit your child in the Moova carrier without the help of others.
The Moova carrier is among the easiest on the entire market due to the pre-set crossed shoulder straps and the adjustable back panel that you can zip down when putting your child in the harness. It makes your everyday life so much easier, because you will find yourself taking your child in and out of the carrier quite a few times during the day, when for example your child needs to sleep, wants to sit by himself, or needs to be put in a cargo bike or car.
How can I be sure that my child likes the Moova carrier?
When infants object to being in a carrier or sling, it is usually because they feel too confined and with too little room for movement. With Moova's adjustable back panel, you can give your child just the right amount of support and freedom. We have yet to hear about a baby that has not been comfortable in a properly adjusted Moova baby carrier. If you are very doubtful and have a baby who has a history of discomfort in baby carriers or slings, it is a good idea to try the Moova carrier in a store or rent it through a baby products rental service.
Is the Moova carrier ergonomically correct for my baby?
Yes, the Moova carrier is ergonomic for both your baby and you. In the first month of life, you can choose to have your baby's feet inside the panel, whereby she or he will sit in the frog position, i.e. quite bent at the hip joint and with limited spreading of the legs. A position recommended by leading pediatric orthopedists.
You can also adjust the width of the panel so that it supports underneath your baby's thighs and goes all the way from the inside of one knee to the other, where the lower leg is then placed outside the panel. This position places your child in the optimal so-called M-position, where the knees are placed slightly higher than your baby's bottom. This also applies to the hip and back position. The Moova carrier is approved by "The International Hip Dysplasia Institute” as “hip healthy”.
Can my child sleep in the Moova carrier?
Yes, as long as you adjust the height of the back panel to support your baby's head adequately.
How long at a time can I wear my baby?
As long as your baby is comfortable and can keep warm if you should be outside. However, always pay close attention to your baby's signals and be careful about keeping your baby in the same position for a very long time at a time.
How does the zipper in the back panel work?
This is a special zipper from the world's largest quality manufacturer, YKK. The type is called auto-lock and contains a mechanism which locks the sliding mechanism firmly, unless the pull tab is pulled. The Moova baby carrier is tested and certified by an external product testing company to withstand a very large number of dynamic impacts from a 20 kg test dummy.
Can I be cool about my baby sucking on the carrier?
Yes you can. The parts of the carrier that your baby may contact with her or his mouth are all Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
How long can I use the Moova baby carrier?

Can I turn my baby forward in the Moova carrier?
We have deliberately opted out of the forward-looking position for several reasons. We fundamentally believe that the forward-facing position is a wrong solution to a real problem. The real problem for many infants in the existing carrier designs is that they sit too close and don't have enough of a view of the world when in the inward-facing position. And it is contrary to many children's instincts and drive to experience the outside world.
Our solution is to give your baby sufficient freedom of movement and vision in the optimal inward-facing position. So far, no baby has objected to sitting in this position in the Moova carrier. At the same time, you support your baby's motor development to a much greater extent than in the misunderstood forward-facing position.
When can I use the hip position?
Most children begin to actively reach out at approx. 3 months of age and orients itself more strongly towards the outside world. And by 3 months, most children can hold their head upright by themselves. It is therefore an excellent time to start slinging the baby onto your hip while you are doing things around the house or out and about. It is very easy to switch from the front position to the hip position and vice versa. Your baby is sure to love being able to follow what you are doing.
When can I use the supine position?
Under no circumstances should the supine position be used until the child can sit upright unsupported and has full control of his head. The back position is typically used from around 1 year of age, where some parents find the child too heavy to be carried on the front.
What sizes of parents can the Moova baby carrier be used for?
The Moova baby carrier can be adjusted and can therefore be used by parents who vary in size from XS to XXL.
Can the Moova carrier be machine washed?
Yes, wash at max. 30 degrees. Make sure all buckles are attached and that the nylon ribbons are rolled up and the elastic loops enclose them. Preferably use a laundry bag or alternatively a buttoned or zipped pillow case. Hang to dry. If absolutely necessary to use a tumble dryer, set at lowest temperature.
